Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign goalkeeper Joan Garcia from Espanyol, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano further reports that the release clause will be paid in the next few days, or possibly next week. But the contract is ready and Garcia will sign a 5-year contract with Barca.
The move is a bold move in Barca’s plans, with Garcia reportedly a long-term replacement for Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The German goalkeeper has long been a key figure at Barca but now he faces a huge decision. Which could see him settle for a substitute role or move elsewhere where he will be guaranteed regular playing time.
