Norway coach Ståle Solbakken has told Brentford defender Kristoffer Ajer to find a new club. The 27-year-old has made 24 Premier League appearances for Brentford in the 2024-25 season. But has started just twice for Thomas Frank’s side since the international break in March.

Ajer made two appearances for Norway during the June international break. Playing in World Cup qualifiers against Italy and Estonia, keeping both clean sheets สมัคร UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีสำหรับสมาชิกใหม่

“He can be a very good, solid centre-back and he did well (against Estonia). But he needs to change clubs,” Solbakken said.

“He can’t play right-back every three games if he wants to be a good, solid and proper centre-back because he has all the attributes.”

“I think Ajer would be better suited to play as a centre-back in another league. He’s had a lot of serious injuries in England.”

“He’s never going to be the right-back that he is at the level of a centre-back. At his age, I think he has the potential to be there. You can’t be a defensive right-back at his age.”

“A lot of people get angry with me when I say things like that publicly. But I think we should be a little bit more honest,”

“I’m not going to interfere with Brentford selling him. But he’s on a good enough date and is the type of player who can develop into a solid. Capable defender at a high level.”

Ajer could have a different time at Brentford next season if Frank decides to join Spurs as many expect.
